Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) now can’t conduct its charter flights to the United States as The US Department of Transportation said it has revoked all of their permission, as there is a lot of concern over Pakistani pilot certifications by federal aviation administration (FAA).
The information is contained in the cancellation of special authorization dated July 1 provided by the department to Reuters.
Last month Pakistan has grounded almost every third of there pilot after discovering they may have falsified their qualifications.
PIA’s authorization to fly to the bloc has been suspended for six months in a blow to the carrier’s operations by The European Union Aviation Safety Agency.
PIA was not available immediately for comment outside normal business hours.
Pakistan geo news said it would address the concerns through ongoing corrective measures within the airline after the confirmed US ban.
Pakistan’s grounding of their pilots with unsure credentials followed the crash of a PIA jet in May that killed 97 people.
