Job Description
Job Title: Aircraft Cabin Painter (Interior Finishes Artist) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Cabin Painter to perform high-quality interior painting and refinishing work on aircraft cabin components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in aircraft interior finishing, surface preparation, spray painting techniques, and aviation quality standards to ensure premium cabin aesthetics and compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Perform painting and refinishing of aircraft cabin interior components including Seats, Sidewalls, Galleys, Lavatories, Panels, and Interior Monuments . • Carry out surface preparation activities such as sanding, masking, cleaning, priming, and degreasing to achieve optimal paint adhesion and premium finish quality. • Execute full repainting, touch-ups, refinishing, and partial painting with precision and consistency. • Operate spray painting equipment (HVLP / air spray systems) safely and efficiently. • Read and follow maintenance manuals, technical drawings, work instructions, and paint specifications accurately. • Ensure compliance with aviation standards, OEM specifications, interior finishing requirements, and company quality procedures . • Conduct final inspections to ensure defect-free finishes , including no peeling, paint runs, uneven gloss, or color mismatch. • Adhere to safety regulations, chemical handling procedures, PPE standards, and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention practices . • Coordinate with quality assurance and inspection teams to meet aircraft release and maintenance timelines. Required Qualifications & Experience: • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in aircraft interior cabin painting . • Proven expertise in painting and refinishing Seats, Sidewalls, Galleys, Lavatories, Panels, and Cabin Interior Components . • Strong knowledge of surface preparation, finishing techniques, and paint application methods . • Hands-on experience with spray painting tools and aviation-grade paint materials . • Familiarity with aviation maintenance standards, OEM guidelines, and quality procedures . • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and work instructions . • Good command of English communication (reading, writing, and speaking) . Preferred Candidate Profile: • Experience in Aircraft Cabin Line Maintenance / Base Maintenance environment preferred. • Candidates with prior experience in aviation MRO, airlines, or aircraft interior refurbishment will be highly preferred.
