Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Planning Manager Location: India Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planning Manager to lead long-term strategic planning for aircraft maintenance activities across the airline fleet. The role is responsible for developing and optimizing maintenance schedules, aligning maintenance check intervals, aircraft ground time, manpower requirements, and resource availability to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective execution of maintenance programs. The position plays a key role in maximizing aircraft availability, supporting operational objectives, and driving maintenance planning efficiency across the organization. Key Requirements • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Airline Maintenance Planning, Technical Services, Engineering Planning, or Continuing Airworthiness environments • Strong experience in long-term aircraft maintenance planning and maintenance program management • Proven knowledge of aircraft maintenance checks, heavy maintenance planning, maintenance forecasting, and fleet scheduling • Experience in manpower planning, hangar capacity management, and maintenance resource optimization • Strong understanding of maintenance program requirements, airworthiness directives, and regulatory compliance • Experience working closely with Engineering, MCC, Technical Services, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams • Proficiency in maintenance planning systems, maintenance forecasting tools, and data-driven decision-making • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or a related field • Knowledge of EASA, FAA, GACA, or other relevant aviation regulatory requirements preferred Key Responsibilities • Develop and manage long-term maintenance plans to support fleet availability and operational objectives • Establish strategic maintenance schedules by aligning maintenance check intervals, aircraft ground time, and operational requirements • Forecast maintenance workload, manpower requirements, hangar capacity, and resource utilization across maintenance activities • Optimize aircraft maintenance schedules to ensure timely execution of maintenance checks while minimizing operational disruption • Coordinate with Engineering, Technical Services, MCC, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to ensure effective planning and execution of maintenance programs • Monitor maintenance planning performance and identify potential risks impacting aircraft availability, maintenance compliance, or operational efficiency • Analyze fleet maintenance trends and recommend planning improvements to enhance productivity, reliability, and cost control • Support maintenance budgeting, forecasting, and long-term fleet maintenance strategies • Ensure maintenance plans remain compliant with approved maintenance programs, regulatory requirements, and company procedures • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance planning effectiveness and resource optimization Why Join Us • Opportunity to work with a leading aviation organization • Exposure to modern aircraft fleets and advanced technologies • Collaborative and professional work environment • Career growth and leadership opportunities • Competitive compensation and benefits package Aviation Indeed does not charge any recruitment fee.
