Type Rated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - B2 (Avionics) | ATR 72-600 Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site Aircraft Type: ATR 72-600 Position: Type Rated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - B2 (Avionics) Key Responsibilities Aircraft Maintenance & Certification • Perform scheduled and unscheduled line and base maintenance on ATR 72-600 avionics, electrical, communication, and navigation systems. • Issue Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) upon completion of applicable maintenance tasks. • Conduct functional tests, operational checks, and system calibrations using approved procedures and equipment. • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable CAAB/EASA standards and approved procedures . Troubleshooting & Defect Rectification • Diagnose and rectify complex electrical and avionics system faults. • Troubleshoot instrumentation interfaces associated with the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127M engine. • Utilize approved technical documentation, including AMM and AWM , to identify and resolve defects. • Manage deferred defects in accordance with MEL and CDL requirements. Compliance & Documentation • Accurately complete Aircraft Technical Logbooks and relevant MRO system records. • Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs) , and company procedures. • Review work packages, task cards, and regulatory documentation for completeness before aircraft sign-off. Technical Leadership & Coordination • Supervise and mentor trainee engineers and junior technicians. • Coordinate with B1 engineers, Maintenance Control Centre (MCC), and shift managers for efficient aircraft turnaround. • Communicate aircraft technical status, rectifications, limitations, and operational constraints effectively with flight crews. Safety & Continuous Improvement • Support and promote the organization's Safety Management System (SMS) . • Identify and report hazards, near misses, and potential procedural risks. • Maintain strict FOD prevention and workplace safety standards. • Recommend improvements to maintenance processes, tooling, and safety practices. AOG Support • Provide rapid technical response during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations. • Coordinate with supply chain, stores, and logistics teams for critical avionics components. • Be available for short-notice deployment to domestic or international outstations for aircraft recovery and troubleshooting. Eligibility & Qualifications • Part 66 course completion/Diploma in AME, Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent qualification. • Valid Part 66 EASA / CAAM / DGCA / CAAB B2 License . • ATR 72-600 Type Rating with Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127M experience. • Minimum 5 years of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer experience . • Strong knowledge of ATR 72-600 aircraft systems and maintenance practices. • Experience with MRO processes and procedures. • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving capabilities. • Experience supporting maintenance programs and providing technical assistance to maintenance personnel. • Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills. • Fluency in English is required. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under operational deadlines.
