Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Manager - Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Location: Bengaluru (BLR) Industry: Aviation / MRO Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Sr. Associate / Associate Manager - Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to manage the planning, maintenance, availability, and operational readiness of Ground Support Equipment used for aircraft ground handling and maintenance activities. The role is responsible for coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, managing vendors and GSE assets, and ensuring equipment complies with applicable aviation safety and operational standards. The position plays a key role in minimizing equipment downtime and supporting uninterrupted MRO and airport operations. Key Responsibilities • Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities for Ground Support Equipment • Ensure availability, serviceability, and operational readiness of critical GSE • Conduct or coordinate inspections to assess equipment condition, safety, and operational performance • Troubleshoot GSE breakdowns and coordinate timely repairs to minimize operational downtime • Monitor maintenance schedules, service records, equipment history, and asset documentation • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs, servicing, spare parts, and technical support • Support procurement, replacement, and lifecycle planning for GSE and critical components • Monitor equipment utilization, performance, maintenance costs, and recurring breakdowns • Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Stores, and other internal stakeholders to address GSE requirements • Ensure GSE complies with applicable aviation safety, maintenance, and operational procedures • Conduct or support periodic GSE inspections, audits, and equipment performance reviews • Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions • Prepare GSE status reports, maintenance reports, equipment performance updates, and other management reports Key Requirements • Relevant experience in Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) within an Airline, MRO, Airport, or aviation environment • Strong knowledge of GSE maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment operations, and asset management • Hands-on experience with equipment such as GPU, ASU, pushback tractors, towbar equipment, AC units, belt loaders, passenger steps, and ground support vehicles • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of GSE and equipment serviceability management • Knowledge of aviation safety requirements, equipment handling procedures, and operational standards • Experience coordinating with vendors for repairs, servicing, spare parts, and technical support • Strong understanding of maintenance schedules, equipment records, utilization, and performance monitoring • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple equipment requirements in a time-sensitive aviation/MRO environment Why Join Us • Opportunity to work with a leading organization in the aviation and MRO sector • Exposure to diverse Ground Support Equipment and modern aviation maintenance practices • Dynamic and operationally critical work environment • Career growth and leadership opportunities within aviation and MRO operations • Competitive compensation and benefits package Aviation Indeed does not charge any recruitment fee.
