Senior Manager - Aircraft Powerplant Location: Bengaluru Industry: Aviation / Airlines / MRO Role Overview The Senior Manager - Powerplant will lead and oversee aircraft Powerplant and engine maintenance activities, ensuring safe, reliable and compliant maintenance operations. The role requires a strong technical leader who can manage Powerplant teams, coordinate maintenance planning and execution, and ensure work is completed as per approved procedures, regulatory requirements and Aviation standards Key Requirements • 15+ years of experience in aircraft Powerplant/engine maintenance. • DGCA AME B1 Licence with relevant aircraft type rating - Mandatory. • Strong experience in engine maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and defect rectification. • Experience managing Powerplant/technical maintenance teams. • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, manpower deployment, and work allocation. • Experience on Airbus/Boeing aircraft and relevant engines preferred. • Good knowledge of DGCA regulations, airworthiness, safety, quality, and approved maintenance procedures. • Strong technical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Key Responsibilities • Lead and supervise Powerplant and engine maintenance activities. • Manage technical teams, manpower, tools, and maintenance resources. • Monitor engine troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and defect rectification. • Ensure compliance with DGCA regulations, approved maintenance data, safety, quality, and airworthiness requirements. • Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Operations teams. • Review maintenance records and technical documentation. • Resolve technical and operational issues and drive corrective actions. • Develop team capability through technical guidance and supervision.
