Job Description
Job Title: Chief Manager - Crew Control Location: Gurugram Department: Flight Operations / Crew Control Job Purpose To drive operational excellence in Pilot & Cabin Crew scheduling and control , ensuring regulatory compliance, optimal resource utilization, and continuous improvement through data-driven insights and process enhancements. The role focuses on strengthening crew operations within the D+72 hours window while maintaining fairness, efficiency, and reliability in roster management. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence & Control • Oversee crew control activities for Pilot & Cabin Crew operations • Ensure seamless execution of schedules within the D+72 hours window • Manage disruptions, roster changes, and day-of-operations challenges efficiently Compliance & Governance • Ensure 100% compliance with DGCA, CAR, and company regulations • Monitor, report, and escalate any deviations with corrective actions • Maintain legally compliant rosters and audit readiness Process Improvement & SOPs • Conduct post-facto analysis to identify inefficiencies and gaps • Develop and implement SOPs aligned with industry best practices • Continuously enhance processes to improve operational reliability Stakeholder Management • Collaborate with Head Tactical Ops, Planning, and Manpower teams • Align crew control strategies with network planning and operational goals • Work closely with Safety, Training, and Operations teams Performance & Analytics • Track and analyze operational KPIs and crew productivity metrics • Provide data-driven insights and reports to leadership • Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies Systems & Regulatory Adaptation • Support configuration of crew management systems and rules • Stay updated with evolving regulatory requirements and industry trends • Ensure timely updates to SOPs and documentation (DPM) Key Skills & Competencies • Strong expertise in Crew Control / Crew Scheduling • In-depth knowledge of DGCA, CAR, FDTL regulations • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong stakeholder management and communication • Ability to manage high-pressure, real-time operations • Leadership and team management capabilities Experience & Qualifications • 12-18+ years of experience in airline crew operations / scheduling / control • Prior experience in leadership roles within Crew Control / Operations preferred • Familiarity with crew systems like ARMS, Sabre, Jeppesen is an advantage • Graduate (Aviation / Engineering / Management preferred) Note* Aviation Indeed does not charge any recruitment fees.
